Unique presentation of ‘Verborgen leegte’ @ Hommeles

1 12 2010

Last Saturday 27 november Quito Nicolaas spoke in the spirit of Annie M.G. Schmidt on his new novel ‘Verborgen leegte’.
As a childrens’ book writer Schmidt was known to be very opinionated. In her books and poems she gave children a voice in the big world of adults. Hommeles is created based on her ideas.

Art & Culture student Nienke broke the ice by reading a fragment of the book. A talkshow followed where Jeffrey the presenter spoke with the author and the public about the different aspect of the book, on the characters and the social themes. An enthusiastic public took part and got more interested in the book. A signing reception followed where those present could meet the author. Students of the Art & Culture Department entertained the public with their singing.
