2013 Arubadag, last Sunday, was once again a fascinating happening. It’s the day Arubans celebrate their Flag and National Anthem with music, singing, dancing, the Aruban cuisine and literature.
And being of born and bred proud Arubans, of course we couldn’t miss this one out. Naturally we were there also spreading the passion for literature like we always do.

BookIsh Plaza had a bookstand with Aruban authors’ books and books by other Caribbean authors, from children’s books, to history books, novels and poetry.  It was nice conversing with our readers and amazing to see people interested in literature from the islands.

Our published author Quito Nicolaas was there to sign his work and to speak to his fan base.

We had a great time and are looking forward for next year.
